Scottish Thistle Wax Seal Necklace, even more beautiful in person, this silver thistle charm is the national flower of Scotland, the meaning "No One Provokes Me With Impunity". One thistle is said to have saved an entire Scottish army. The vintage wax seal more then like sat forgotten in the back of desk drawer until we acquired while in London at the famed Portobello Road Markets. We've captured it's timeless symbolism in this necklace, made it modern by turning it into a beautiful silver charm, creating a heirloom piece worthy of generations to come.
The Thistle symbolizes strength, unity and friendship, perfect for gifting to a best friend, mom, a sister, even symbolic for men. We sell this thistle at a lovely shop in Edinburgh, Scotland (Us in picture#7) and love to visit her when our jewelry journey takes us abroad!
The Thistle also has a story to tell......
A thousand years ago, during the Vikings invasion of Scotland, an advancing enemy warrior stepped on a thistle and cried out in pain inadvertently waking the sleeping Scotsmen. Scottish King Kenneth III was so grateful that he adopted the thistle as his nation's emblem.
