Pandora's Box Wax Seal Necklace - Pictured is Pandora opening the fabled box surrounded by the Latin inscription "Nocuit Secreta Vidisse" meaning "Tis dangerous to pry into secrets".
The story goes, Zeus had given the box to Pandora as a gift on her wedding day and told her to never open it. Curiosity got the best of her one day and she opened the box releasing Greed, Malice, Despair, Disease, Old Age, Hatred, Violence, Cruelty and War into the world. She slammed the lid down keeping only the spirit of Hope in the box. This pendant is reminder that even when things seem really bad, the only thing we have left is hope.....Hope Conquers All.

►MATERIALS: Sterling Silver
►NECKLACE OPTION: You may chose to order JUST the pendant or select from a variety of sterling chains available in shiny silver or antiqued silver finishes from the drop down menus to the right. *See last picture for reference.
►CHARM ONLY OPTION: If you chose to order the charm only it will come on a 5mm sterling jump ring that you may thread onto your own necklace.
♡♡ This pendant is made using the original wax seal that dates to the mid 1800's. The charm has been given an antique patina to bring out all the details. Please note that the picture has been enlarged so you can see the detail. Each one is handmade to order, unique and one-of-a-kind in every regard. Due to their handmade nature, they may vary slightly in size.
Unless your jewelry is made to order, we’ll ship your piece within 5 business days. If you need your order ASAP, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request. All of our packages are shipped from our Ohio studio via USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail. Once your order leaves our studio you’ll receive a tracking number so that you can follow the progress of your shipment.
